TITLE: DIDSTURBANCE OBSERVER BASED ANTI DISTURBANCE CONTROL Name: Sayantan Halder Roll no: 002110801231 Electrical engineering department , Jadavpur University

ABOUT THE TOPIC Disturbance-observer-based control (DOBC) methods have been researched and applied in various industrial sectors in the last four decades. In all of these methods, disturbance and uncertainty are, in general, lumped together, and an observation mechanism is employed to estimate the total disturbance. This DOBC method is widely used in mechatronic systems to counter external disturbances like variation of load torque and pivot frictions . In aerospace systems it is used in missile systems ,space satellites .

MOTIVATION Disturbances and uncertainties widely exist in all industrial systems and bring adverse effects on performance and even stability of control systems . Disturbance and uncertainty rejection is a key objective in control system design. When a disturbance is measurable, a feedforward strategy could attenuate or eliminate the influence of disturbance. However, quite often, the external disturbance cannot be directly measured or is too expensive to measure. DOBC aims to estimate and compensate for these disturbances, enhancing closed-loop performance.
