What is Dominion? Dominion is strategy game about territorial conquest and control. The game is played over multiple turns and the g oal of the game is to gain control over a certain percentage of the map, usually by capturing the territories of the other 3 players that are expanding their own territory.
The boards the players fight on can change the game. The players can change the territory by using different boards which have their own unique traits which change up the gameplay. Desert Board: This board features a mechanic where players have to manage their water supply and conserve resources. Players must find ways to survive and thrive in the harsh desert environment, while also competing against other players for territory and resources. Jungle Board: This board features a mechanic where players have to navigate through the thick jungle. Players must move strategically and use their wits to avoid obstructions and traps, while also avoiding conflict with wildlife and navigating through tough terrain. Canyon Board: This board features a mechanic where players have to carefully navigate across steep canyons. Players must use their vehicles to traverse the environment .
The players can use different units Players can use a wide variety of units such as infantry, vehicles, and aircraft. vehicles can only be deployed on land. They can provide transport and logistical support to ground troops, allowing faster deployment and maneuverability of troops, supplies, and resources. Vehicles can provide protection for troops, allowing them to move more quickly and efficiently across dangerous or difficult terrain. Vehicles can provide various support capabilities to ground troops, such as armored protection or transportation of heavy equipment. Vehicles can also be armed, providing a degree of offensive capability and firepower support. air vehicles could function as a sort of "ace in the hole" for players. Specifically, players could use air vehicles as quick-strike units that can quickly fly over enemy defenses and engage in combat. These units would be able to bypass ground and naval defenses and strike vulnerable areas directly. Additionally, air vehicles could also be used to transport troops quickly and efficiently into enemy territories, allowing for the rapid capture of territories and resources.
Resource management Certain territories are critical for resource gathering, such as mine territories, or regions with access to natural resources. Resources serve as a key element of strategy in Dominion, as they provide players with the ability to produce more troops or purchase other items. Controlling key territories can give players the edge in winning the game.
