What is Earth’s revolution? The movement of the Earth around the sun. It takes 365 and 1/4 days or 1 year. It cause changes of the Earth’s climate such as summer, winter, autumn and spring.

LIST DOWN THE EFFECTS OF THE FOLLOWING EARTH’S MOVEMENT Earth’s Rotation Earth’s Revolution

Group Activity Make a role play about the Earth’s rotation and revolution.

In a calendar , there are only 365 and ¼ days. Therefore, every four years gain an extra day. The extra day is added to February every four years, February has 29 days. The year with additional day is called” leap year ”. Science Fact

ASSIGNMENT Draw / Illustrate the earth’s rotation and revolution. Use a long bond paper, make it colorful and be creative.

Day and Night Seasons

Day and Night EFFECTS OF EARTH’S ROTATION

Movement of the stars POLARIS also known as the North star.

Wind System The deflection of the wind due to Earth’s rotation is called the Coriolis Effect .

EFFECTS OF EARTH’S REVOLUTION The 4 Seasons

Why we have different seasons?

GROUP ACTIVITY Draw/ Illustrate the earth’s positions during the different seasons. Make a short play about it.

Compare the effects of the earth’s rotation and revolution. Use the Venn diagram below. Earth’s Rotation Earth’s Revolution
