What is education Education is the simple process of learning and knowing. Advice on education

Why Education is Necessary Every human being needs oxygen to survive in the world. Education is as important as this because education gives people the knowledge and skills they require. Education is important to people of all ages and it has no limit. Children require education in order for them to learn how to speak and to write. Students in higher education level require knowledge in order to gain valuable information regarding what they are studying about.

Educational issues in Pakistan In Human development Report Pakistan is at 136th position having just 49.9% educated population. Pakistan is ranked at 113th out of 120 registered UN members by research conducted by UNESCO. Basic flaws of education system in Pakistan contribute to the economic, ethnic and sociopolitical crisis. A cheapest defense for a nation , unfortunately it is one of the biggest problems in Pakistan. The literacy rate in Pakistan is about 55% in 2012-2013. The education sector is facing crisis just like other major sectors of the country. (Reference: Wikipedia)

Education system is based on unequal lines Medium of education is different in both, public and private sector. This creates a sort of disparity among people, dividing them into two segments.

Lack of Technical Education The lack of technical education is a biggest flaw in the education policy that has never been focused before. Therefore, less technical people means low standard of education .

Literacy Literacy  rate is very low in  Pakistan  as compared to other countries.  Pakistan's literacy  rate has declined from 60 percent to 58 percent, as revealed by the economic survey of  Pakistan . Multiple factors act as the reasons behind this, for instance, lack of government funds to  educational  institutions. The  literacy rate  measures the percentage of people aged 15 and above who are able to read and write. In 2014,  Pakistan's  total  literacy rate  was around 57 percent, with less than 45 percent of women being  literate  and almost 70 percent of men.

Gender Discrimination As there is a 10:4 ratio of boys and girls respectively in primary schools. For the last few years there has been an increase in the growth of private schools. That not only harms the quality of education but creates a gap among haves and has not.

Funds The allocation of funds for education is very low. It is only 1.5 to 2.0 percent of the total GDP. It should be around 7% of the total GDP.

Untrained Teachers The teachers in government schools are not well trained. People who do not get job in any other sector, they try their luck in educational system. They are not professionally trained teachers so they are unable to train a nation.

Academic Problems Resources regarding education are not enough in Pakistan But the problem is that we are not taking benefits of available resources Resources are not being utilized properly due to presence of unskilled, dishonest and less educated administration.

Poverty Poverty is also another factor that restricts the parents to send their children to public or private schools. So, they prefer to send their children to madrassas where education is totally free.

Solutions Implementation instead of projecting policies should be focused on. Allocation of funds should be made easy from provinces to districts and then to educational institutes Workshops must be arranged for teachers. Promotion of the primary education is the need of time. Technical education must be given to all the classes. Teachers, professors and educationists should be consulted while devising any plan, syllabus or policy. The need of time is to bring education in its original form to masses.
