Eight Prayer Watches

A Pattern of Jesus’ Prayers! Use the following presentation as a guide to assist you in your designated time of prayer—for man ought to always pray. Everyone is given a prayer watch… at different times and seasons in your life, you may find that your prayer watch change.

2. EIGHT PRAYER WATCHES

The Bible speaks of “watches,” which are specific times of the day or night.
There are basically eight watches covering twenty-four hours. This is why you may
find yourself repeatedly praying at specific times of the day or evening. If you ever
been awakened during the night or are wondering why you are being led to pray at

specific times, it is probably because God wants you to pray or intercede for

someone. Every prayer watch has a purpose.

The Watch of the Lord, or watching in prayer, is very important to the plans and
order of God. Jesus commanded us to “watch” with Him in several gospel accounts,
particularly in the time called “the last days.” He described how we should respond
when we see earthquakes, famines, wars and rumors of wars, and so on.

Jesus gave us the keys of the kingdom, and the keys include prayer:
"Again | say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may
ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three
have gathered together in My name, there | am in their midst" (Matthew 18:19-20).

Jesus wants groups of two or three people to gather in His name and ask in

symphony or harmony. This is the heart of the “watch of the Lord.”

Everyone Has A Prayer Watch, Even Though They May Not Know It!

Today more than ever, it is important that we pray to seek the mind and the heart
of the Lord, “Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done In Earth as It Is In
Heaven,” (Matthew 6:10). With the Holy Spirit’s leading, we will discover God’s
will and expose the pilots plans and schemes of the enemy through strategic
prayer-the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.

Prayer moves the hands of God. God spoke the universe into creation, “Let It Be.”
God created us in His image and in His likeness and our spoken words and prayers
carry the same power of creation within them. Our authority is found in our
relation with Jesus. As intercessors and God’s watchmen on the walls for our
families, cities and nations, we are called to watch over our assignments to see
approaching danger and warn those endangered. (2Kings 9:17,18).

Cry aloud, spare not, lift up your voice like a trumpet, and show my people their
transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins. (Isaiah 58:1)

FIRST WATCH (Early Night) 6:00 PM — 9:00 PM

A time of covenant renewal with God. Time to release
the anxieties of the day the Lord. Seek clear directions
for the day ahead and about the call on your life. Time of
meditation and reflection. Time for healing. deliverance
and resurrection. Time to regroup and to be still before
the Lord. Time of preparation asking Holy Spirit to visit
you with dreams and visions as you sleep. Pray God's
blessings upon your life, family, church, city and nation.
Time to pray for the economy; overtake dividing walls of
darkness; shake out all the wicked structures from our
economic systems. educational systems, religious
systems, political systems and all other systems.

5. EIGHT PRAYER WATCHES

SECOND WATCH (Late Night ) 9:00 PM — 12:00 AM

A time of offering thanksgiving unto the Lord. Time of
divine favor. A time when the Lord prepares you to
receive many acts of change in the earth. Midnight is
symbolic of intense darkness but God is the light in the
mist of darkness. Release strategies during this time
with full authority given to you. Break demonic
assignments. Pray for protection and provision to do
God's work. Pray aloud Psalm 59 and Psalm 68:1-4.
Pray that God will arise and His enemies be scattered.
Have a session of praise and worship exalting God and
commanding all creation to praise Him. Read aloud
Psalm 148.

THIRD WATCH (Midnight ) 12:00 AM — 3:00 PM

A time of prayers for protection and strength to
overcome. Time of outpouring of the spirit of grace to
overcome every limitation of gifts and anointing: Pray in
your heavenly language. Pray to fortify yourself against
doubt and unbelief to obtain direction of your path. Be
vigilant during this time and watch for God's revelation
of breakthrough for His plans and purposes for your life
and territory. A time when the promises of God are
released. A time to pull down and destroy Satan's
devices. Shaking of foundations: dwelling in the secret
place of the Most High: exercise God-given dominion.

FOUTH WATCH (Dawn/Early Morning ) 3:00 AM — 6:00 AM

A New Day Dawning! Time to transform history. Time to
remove veils, coverings of darkness; prayer hour of
covenants; the hour of triumphant glory; the time for
establishing kingdom. A time when the spirit realm
takes every word uttered from man as a command and
mandate. Command your morning! Consecrate all the
work for the day and pray for protection for God's
people throughout the day. You will also declare a thing
and it will be established for you: so light will shine on
your ways.” (Job 22:27-28) A time to arise and shine
and to see the resurrection power of the Lord.

FIFTH WATCH (1* Watch of the Day) 6:00 AM — 9:00 AM

A Tone, of Deco E User

A time of meditation (having the word manifest inside of
us) — watch and listen to hear what God will say to you.
Time for divine judgments; time for deliverance; time for
resurrection; time to pray for healing in your body,
relationships, family, government, and the economy.
This time is for declarations and utterances; equipment
of service; transforming of minds; the time that God
strengthens Christians. A time for the outpouring of the
Holy Spirit for the equipping for service and for our light
to shine in the day. Give us this day our daily bread.

SIXTH WATCH (2™ Watch of the Day) 9:00 AM — 12:00 PM

A Tone of Pere dl Heli.

Time for forgiveness and healing of relationships. This
is the time to nail witchcraft, bitterness, jealousy, anger,
backbiting. gossip, slander, lying, deception, hypocrisy
and in fact all the properties and personality traits of the
devil and all the works of the flesh to the Cross. Time for
the harvest of God's promises. The watchman guards
and watches for the word of the Lord to be fulfilled. This
is the time to expect the manifestation of God's
promises for your life. Prayer for provision to do God's
work (Exodus 11:3-4) Prayer for a crucified life. Pray for
the release of others.

SEVENTH WATCH (Shaking Foundations ) 12:00 PM — 3:00 PM

A Time: LA fe Secret Mate

Time to release the promises of God as you exercise
your God-given dominion. Time of letting your light
shine brighter until the full light of day is attained (Prov.
4:18). This is the time to pray to “dwell in the secret
place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of
the Almighty.” and making the Most High
your habitation. Pray against and cut off all satanic
arrows that are released against yourself. your family,
your village, your neighborhood, community. the city.
the nation. the church and God's Kingdom. Pray that
your life would be bright. This is also the time to pray
not to be led into any temptation, trap or snare of the
enemy.

11. EIGHT PRAYER WATCHES

EIGHTH WATCH (Transformation) 3:00 PM — 6:00 PM

Time to establish the kingdom. A time of revelation,
grace. covenant and triumphant glory. Time to remove
limitations, veils and coverings of darkness. This is the
time to die to the world and to self. Pray for deliverance
during this watch. When Jesus died, history was
changed forever because He became our blood and
covenant with God and triumphed over hell, death and
the grave. After His resurrection, Jesus Christ gave us
the power to have the same victory as He did. Rejoice
that you have turned your back on sin because you
have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7).
