2. Electronic Data Processing The process that makes data into its useful form is called electronic data processing or simply EDP. Computer, as a electronic data processing machines, perform different operations that convert data into information.

4. INPUT It refers to all the activities associated with recording data making it available for processing. It represents the process of transforming data into a form that a computer understand.

5. PROCESSING After the data is recorded and converted into an appropriate form, it must be processed. Processing includes different arithmetic and logical operations, so to process data means to do classifying, sorting summarizing, comparing and other manipulation techniques that convert data into information.

6. OUTPUT Data processing converts data into information that must be transmitted to person who need it. The communication function that enables this called output. If the information is not in a form that is readable by humans, then output will also include a decoding process. This process will then convert the information into the right form.

7. STORAGE The storage device is the area that contains the processed data and the instructions tat must be followed during data processing. It also includes information for future use. A storage device is a hardware component of a computer, and it permanently stores data on storage media.

8. COMPONENTS OF ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING HARDWARE It is the physical aspects of computers that you can actually touch. It includes not only the computer proper but also the cables, connectors, power supply units, and peripherals devices such as the keyboard, mouse, audio speakers, and printers.

9. COMPONENTS OF ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING SOFTWARE The program came to be known as the software. Software or programming can easily be varied. You can put an entirely new program in the hardware and make it create an entirely new experience for the user. You can, however change the modular c onfigurations that most computers come with by adding new adapters or cards that extend the computers capabilities.

10. COMPONENTS OF ELECTRONIC DATA PROCESSING PEOPLEWARE People ware is sometimes considered as the third aspect that takes into account the importance of humans in the computing process. People ware refers to the people who develop or use computer systems.
