“ Electronic pills” - COLLECTING DATA INSIDE THE BODY

INTRODUCTION Electronic pill technology. Real time video of internal organs wirelessly. Display the images in nearby computer. Narrow & wide band transmission. High definition video transmission.

A wireless endoscope monitoring system

UWB(ultra wideband)telemetry for electronic pill Detailed images of diseases. Improve the image resolution. Transmission high definition images. Low power transmission design. Low interface effect. High data rate capacity. Transmission rate of 100 mbps.

Advantages detection & abnormalities in human body. Adaptable for use in corrosive & quiescent environment. can be used in industries power consumption is very less. High sensitivity, Good reliability & Life times.

Advantages(continued )… Very long life of the cells (40 hours), Current & Voltage requirement (12.1mW, 3.9mA, 3.1 V). Less transmission length. zero noise interference. Made o f b i o - compat ib l e materi al , d oesn' t cau s e any harm to the body. very small size

Limitations cannot perform ultrasound & impedance tomography. Cannot detect radiation abnormalities. Cannot perform radiation treatment associated with cancer & chronic inflammation . expensive & are not available in many countries. Not reusable. Difficult to control camera behavior.

Future Developments Future developments focus on the photo pattern able gel electrolyte and oxygen and cation selective membranes. in the future, these measurements will be used to perform physiological analysis of the GI tract. Can be used to locate any changes corresponding to ulcers or tissue inflammation by temperature sensors. pH sensors may be used for determination of presence of pathological conditions associated with abnormal ph levels etc
