READING SPEAKING
PRE ( 10 minutes)
Write the word "intelligence” on the board.
Ask students: What is intelligence for you? What
things make you feel intelligent?
Show a video about multiple intelligences
Ask students questions about the video.
Elicit answers and write them on the board.
Show pictures or illustrations representing each type
of intelligence to aid understanding.
(5 minutes)
Invite students to mime an ability they have and the class will
guess what type of intelligence each person has
(5 minutes).
Ask students to reflect individually on the types of intelligences
they believe they have and their strengths.
Distribute a worksheet with a table listing different abilities
they have
Students check on the abilities they are good at.
DURING (10 minutes)
Pre-reading: Introduce the reading passage about
multiple intelligences. By asking students to find some
words in the reading
While reading: Students read the passage individually.
Comprehension check: Ask some comprehension
questions to ensure understanding (e.g., - How many
intelligences does the text talk about?)
(10 minutes)
Pair activity: Students use the list of abilities and interview a
partner to ask about their abilities.

Students will complete a worksheet about the reading
passage.

Invite students to answer these questions:
What types of intelligence do you think you have?
Why is it important to recognize the type of intelligence we
have?
Students who participate will receive free points.
ASSESSMENT (10 minutes )
Students create a short presentation (drawing) about their strongest intelligence and present it to the class:
Eg. I can solve mathematical problems easily, I think my strong intelligence is Logical-Mathematical.
FEEDBACK The most creative presentation will be posted on the school chart for a week.
