Adopting a Pet from the Pound Owning a pet from the pound or Animal Rescue League has many advantages. Besides, if the animals from the pound aren’t adopted right away, they might be put to sleep. Having a pet also means lots of responsibilities. A child has to feed, clean up after, brush, and exercise the pet. Another great advantage of having a pet from the pound is the price of these cute and cuddly animals. Pets from the pound cost a lot less than pets at a fancy pet store, which can cost hundreds of dollars. PERSUASIVE ESSAY- intends to convince readers to believe a certain idea or point. In writing a persuasive essay, you must express your opinion clearly and strongly, and support it with details such as examples and additional information. It is composed of three main parts: the introduction which is the opening paragraph, the body that presents your reasons and justifications, and lastly the conclusion which summarizes your main point and serves as the closing paragraph.
There are steps to follow in writing a persuasive essay: Step 1: Choose a topic Choose a topic near to your heart. This will make the process of writing enjoyable. Pick the side you believe in and do a research to support your point of view. Here are examples of persuasive essay topics: Should wearing of school uniforms be required? Should softdrinks be sold in the school canteen? Should we punish tourists who litter and vandalize scenic spots?
There are steps to follow in writing a persuasive essay: Step 2: Write an introduction Start your opening paragraph with a catchy sentence. You may insert related quote or facts to draw attention. Present your argument in a way that your readers will keep reading your essay. Example: I wonder. Do you really have to go far for a perfect getaway? I believe you don’t have to and I’m sure you’ll agree with me.
Step 3: Write the Body Present reasons and justifications to support your point. Use convincing words and phrases such as the following: I am certain that… I believe that… I’m sure…/Surely… I am certain…/Certainly… Avoid the following phrases because they do not convey confidence in your ideas or opinions. I think… It seems that… Perhaps… I guess…
Step 3: Write the Body Use words or phrases that smoothly transition your points, ideas, or evidence. Here’s a list of common transition words you can use to organize your thoughts:
Step 4: Construct the conclusion Summarize your main points. Restate your point of view and add strong statements like calling for action, recommendation, or a decision to be made. Example: The many international travel restrictions during the pandemic are perfect reminders for us to look closer to home and enjoy our country’s God-given wonders of nature! You may use the following closing words: finally, briefly, in conclusion, in the end, on the whole, thus, to conclude, to summarize, in sum, to sum up, in summary.

Choose a topic. 2. Choose your position regarding your topic. 3. Do a thorough research. Find strong evidence that supports your position. 4. Organize your evidence. 5. Write the Introduction. 6. The paragraphs below comprise a persuasive essay. Compose a persuasive essay by arranging these paragraphs accordingly. Pay attention to the three main parts of a persuasive essay. If a parent approves of a child being on Facebook, it is very inappropriate because that child may tell a story about their age and someone much older may see it and think their telling the truth and start sending them messages and the child might not like it at all. When a child that young is on a website like Facebook, they might get excited and go overboard. For example, the child might tell where they live, their address, and a lot more information that is not needed. Imagine a child as young as ten years old on the website Facebook chatting with a grown man or grown woman. Should parents let their children as young as ten years old be on Facebook? I think parents should not let their children or child be on Facebook because on Facebook there are a lot of things that are said and done that a child of that age should not be able to see. In conclusion, I think parents should not let children under age get on Facebook because many different things can happen.
