loud - loudly sweet – sweetly silent – silently slow – slowly calm – calmly

Adverbs of manner are formed in 3 ways:

add – ly to the adjective example: adjective adverb of manner bad badly sad sadly beautiful beautifully

2. if the adjective ends in –y , change y to -- i and add – ly example: adjective adverb of manner lazy lazily pretty prettily easy easily

3. if the adjective ends in –le , take the –e out and replace with –y example: adjective adverb of manner terrible terribly able ably credible credibly
