INTRODUCTION What is entrepreneurship development program? Mission: To nurture and support entrepreneurs at all stages of their journey, from early-stage startups to established businesses. Overview: This presentation will explore the key roles played by national and state-level institutions like SISI, SIDO, NSIC, EDI, NIESBUD, NAYA, CEDOK, KSWDC, and EDC. Goals: These institutions aim to create a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem, foster innovation, and contribute to India's economic development .

SMALL INDUSTRIES SERVICE INSTITUTES (SISI’s) Small Industries Service Institutes were established in each state in 1956 as agencies of SIDO. The objective is to develop small-scale industries. These are established to offer advice and instruction to small business owners. The activities of SISs are co-ordinated by the industrial management training division of the DC, SSI office (New Delhi).

Objectives of SISI : Connecting Central and State Governments Technical Assistance Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs) Promoting Small Industries Economic Consultancy and Information Trade and Market Information District Industrial Potential Surveys Modernization and Plant Studies Workshop Facilities and Training Project Profiles

2) SMALL INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATIONS (SIDO’s) The Small Industries Development Organisation (SIDO) is a government organization that helps develop small-scale industries in India, including entrepreneurship. Objectives of SIDO :- Policy formulation Consultancy Infrastructure Training Information Liaison Rural entrepreneurship

3) NATIONAL SMALL INDUSTRIES CORPORATION LIMITED ( NSIC’s) NSIC stands for National Small Industries Corporation Limited. It's a government-owned corporation under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), India. Established in 1955, its primary goal is to promote, aid, and foster the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country.  

Key Functions and Services :- Single Point Registration (SPRS) Technical Support Marketing Assistance Financial Assistance Performance and Credit Rating  MSME Databank  National SC ST Hub Benefits of NSIC Registration :- Increased Visibility Access to Government Tenders Technical and Financial Support Networking Opportunities

4) ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES ( EDP’s) Here is a brief overview of the features of EDP :- Entrepreneurial Mindset Skill Development Business Planning Mentorship & Networking  Funding Support

5) NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT( NIESBUD) It is a government organization in India that helps people to start and grow small businesses. It provides training support ,education resources to make it easier for the individuals to become an entrepreneur and succeed in the business soon.It plays a crucial rule in strengthening the micro small and medium enterprises.

Objectives of NIESBUD :- Entrepreneurship development Skill development Research of Innovation Support for MSmES Empowering special groups

6) NATIONAL ALLIANCE OF YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ( NAYE ) The Second International Conference of Women Entrepreneurs was organized by the National Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (NAYE) held in 1989 at New Delhi. The Government moved a step forward in the Seventh Five Year Plan by including a special chapter of Integration of Women in Development. Coinciding with the launch of major policy and support initiatives of the Indian government to promote the growth and development of small scale industries in India, FISME was initially born as the National Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (NAYE) in 1967.

7) CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME OF KARNATAKA ( CEDOK ) It was established in 1992 by the Government of Karnataka.It focuses on promoting entrepreneurship and skill development across Karnataka.It offers training, mentorship, and support to aspiring entrepreneurs, including youth, women, and rural communities.

Key Programs :- Entrepreneurship Development Programs (EDPs) Skill Development Workshops Startup Incubation & Mentorship Impact:- Thousands of entrepreneurs trained. Significant contributions to job creation and socio-economic development. Strong rural and urban outreach.

8) KARNATAKA STATE WOMEN'S DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION ( KSWDC ) The Karnataka State Women’s Development Corporation (KSWDC) is a government body established to promote the social and economic empowerment of women in Karnataka. Through various initiatives, KSWDC focuses on enabling women to participate in entrepreneurial activities, offering financial assistance, skill development, and business opportunities

Objectives of KSWDC:- Promote Women’s Entrepreneurship Provide Financial Assistance Enhance Skills and Employment Opportunities Empowerment of Marginalized Women

9) ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL ( EDC ) EDC (Entrepreneurship Development Cell) was established on 7th March 2016 with a vision to bridge the gap between Industry and Academia.The cell undertakes several activities for student development wherein the student gets corporate exposure while studying and develops a spirit of entrepreneurship.

Objectives of EDC :- Organising camps and development programmes Organising guest lectures , TV , Radio and seminar Arranging visits to industries for prospective entrepreneurs. Conducting skill development programmes Providing calibration and quality assurance for entrepreneurs Providing student workforce to Industries and Institutions Providing students the professional and industry exposure.

CONCLUSION :- In conclusion, the national and state-level institutions for entrepreneurship development programs play a crucial role in fostering innovation and economic growth in India. These institutions offer a wide range of services, including training, mentorship, and funding, to support aspiring and established entrepreneurs. By providing the necessary resources and guidance, they empower individuals to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams and contribute to the nation's economic development. As India continues to evolve as a global economic powerhouse, the role of these institutions will become even more important in nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem .
