Climber plants have weak and soft
stem. They need support to stand
and grow straight.

They grow along the ground.
Herbs are very small plants with soft
green color stem. Their leaves,
flowers, seeds are used for flavoring,
food, cooking, medicines or perfumes.

6. Shrubs have many branches and
they grow near to the ground. Their
stem is woody and thin and doesn’t
have main trunk.
Wild plants grow naturally for
many years. They do not need any
person to take care of them. Wild
plants can be grass, trees and small
plants.
Water plants grow in water and
their stem stays underwater. Some
water plants have big floating leaves.
Plants like Hydrilla grow completely
underwater.

the water loss.

landforms stretched
very high from land.

Mountains are steeper
than hills.

In the mountains with
heavy snow fall trees
like Pine, Willow grow
well.

Their leaves have
needle shape to shed

grow in hot and heavy
rain places.

Temperate rainforests
grow in the places
with mild winter and
cool summers.

Rainforests are
generally very thick
and sunlight can't
reach the lands.

broad-leaf forests are
found in areas with
warm, moist summers
and mild winters.

Trees have broad
leaves to capture
sunlight.

In autumn the trees
sheds their leaves to
reduce the water loss.

snow Forest.

Trees grow in extreme
winter and heavy
snow fall. They are
also known as
conifers. Trees grow in
cone shape and it
helps them to shed the
snow easily.

cold place.

It has very short
summers and long
harsh winters.

Tundra plants are very
small and dark in color.

worldwide at high
altitude.

•Antarctic Tundra is
located at Southern
hemisphere

Orchards are the group of trees or planned large gardens. They always grow in warm places.

Orchards are generally the fruit gardens, like Apple orchards.

Groves are also known as group of trees or small orchards. For example: Mango grove.

Some fruits and vegetables are transported to India from other countries
by air and ship. Also, due to improved farming technology new types of
fruits and vegetables can now be grown in some parts of India.

Fruits like kiwi, Apple, Strawberries, red and green seedless grapes are
brought to India from different countries.
