Do teachers’ beliefs and perce p tions affect students? Yes, teachers’ interactions with their students in the school context influence their perceptions, goals, and behaviors (Richardson 1996)

Teacher’s beliefs on Gender more positive attitudes about male students’ math performance , overrate male students’ mathematical abilities higher expectations regarding male students’ mathematical success ( Riegle -Crumb and Humphries, 2012; Robinson- Cimpian et al., 2014) Pay more attention to boys than girl students (Zhang , Q.
