Title: ERG as a Bridge: Driving Inclusion in Open Source
Abstract: Employee resource groups (ERGs) are often seen as internal culture-builders — but what if they could also fuel innovation and engagement in open source? Leading ERGs open unexpected doors: from strengthening developer community programs, to hosting introductory open source workshops at Latinas in Tech, to expanding participation in meetups that drew engineers both internally and externally. By intersecting my role as Developer Community Manager with ERG leadership at Intuit, I’ve seen how inclusion can drive real ROI for companies while also growing diverse participation in open source. Join me to learn how you, too, can leverage ERGs to create ripple effects beyond the workplace.
