1. KEY ACTIVITIES OF PIPELINE INTEGRITY DEPARTMENT SECTION KEY ACTIVITIES REMARKS CP DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT Planning, Engineering, Design and Installation of Cathodic Protection (CP) [Permanent/Temporary] System for newly constructed pipelines. Budget Preparation, Materials Estimation and Bidding for cathodic protection design and development for new pipeline facilities. Analysis, Design and Development of CP system facilities for existing Pipelines. Pipeline Length = 2030 Km (approx.) No. of CP Stations = 77 nos. CP MONITORING & MAINTENENCE CP System Operation, Monitoring and Maintenance of GTCL Pipelines. Rehabilitation and development works as per requirements of Existing CP System facilities. Reporting & Analysis of CP System operational data and taking necessary steps accordingly. PIPELINE PIGGING Planning, Engineering, Tendering and Implementation of Pipeline On-Stream Cleaning Pigging Operation for GTCL Pipelines. Planning, Engineering, Tendering and Implementation of Pipeline In-Line Inspection (ILI)/Intelligent Pigging Operation for GTCL Pipelines.

2. MAIN CHALLENGES Acute Shortage of Manpower: [key factor to provide effective & efficient service] No NACE/ ICorr . Certified/Trained CP Professional in GTCL for CP System Design, Installation, Operation, Monitoring, Survey and Maintenance. Effective CP System Management and Evaluation by conducting various CP Survey (CIPL, DCVG, CAT, AC/DC Interference Survey etc.). Carry Out In-Line Inspection/Intelligent Pigging for pipelines (more than 25 years old) & On-stream Cleaning pigging of Pipelines at regular interval as per Gas Safety Rules. Regular and Routine Inspection, operation, maintenance and development works of existing CP System of GTCL Pipelines.

3. KEY ACTIVITIES OF MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT SECTION KEY ACTIVITIES REMARKS PIPELINE & FACILITIES MAINTENANCE Painting, Wrapping and Coating of above ground Pipeline and stations. Necessary Fabrication and installation of Casing pipe on existing pipeline. Pipeline & Station replacement and modification. Valve replacement above or equal 08” OD. All Gas Pipeline & Station of GTCL. TRANSPORT MAINTENENCE Enlistment of Workshops for Vehicle repairing & maintenance related works. Identification of the problems of the Vehicle by physical checking with the help of enlisted Workshops. Collection of estimates from various enlisted workshops. (IV) Preparation of PR (Budget), taking Administrative & Financial approval. Execution/Implementation of repair & maintenance works. Total Vehicles- 104 nos.

4. MAIN CHALLENGES Acute Shortage of Manpower: [key factor to provide effective & efficient service] Not Available any Fitter/Technician who can Support any immediate action Design , Estimate, Tender Preparation, Regular Site Visit and stay at site at the Construction time. Lack of Automobile background manpower especially SAE; Lack of proper training of the existing manpower ON vehicle related subjects.

5. KEY ACTIVITIES OF ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT SECTION KEY ACTIVITIES ELECTRICAL DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT Design & Supervision of Installation Works of Electrical Sub-station and Generator. Design & Supervision of Installation Works of New Residential Building, Dormitory and Office Building. Design & Supervision of Installation of Area Lighting Works of Different Station of GTCL. Prepare & Provide of cost Estimate as per requirement of Concern Department and monitoring by EED. Budget Preparation, Materials Estimation and Bidding for New Installation of Electrical Works and Design & development for new Electrical facilities. ELECTRICAL MAINTENENCE Electrical Maintenance Works (Light, Fan, AC, Power Point) as per notification of ERP System at GTCL Head Office . Routine Inspection & Maintenance Works of VRF Air Cooling System at GTCL Head Office. Operation & Maintenance Of 06 (six) nos. Lift, Diesel Generator & Pump at GTCL Head Office. Electrical Maintenance works of Area Lighting, Electrical Sub-Station, Generator, Electrical Wiring at all Stations of GTCL & GTCL head Office. Budget Preparation, Materials Estimation and Bidding for Maintenance Works of Residential Building, Dormitory and Office Building.

6. MAIN CHALLENGES Acute Shortage of Manpower: [key factor to provide effective & efficient service] Effective & Quality Supervision, Management and Evaluation by conducting various Electrical Works. Regular and Routine Inspection, operation, maintenance and development works of existing Electrical System at GTCL Head Office and different stations of GTCL.
