European Theatre and Experimentation By Joe Devlin
Stanislavski ‘’ The fundamental aim of our art is in the creation of the inner life of a human spirit, and in its expression in artistic form’’.
Constantin Stanislavski 1863 - 1938
Questions an Actor need s to ask him / herself What are the given circumstances? What is my location? What are my relationships – immediate & surrounding? Where am I coming from? Where am I going? What is the same about today? What is different about today? What do I want? ( What is my objective?) What obstacles stand in my way? What are the sensory conditions? ( Warm? Cold? Humid? Etc. ) How do I proceed to accomplish what I want? What is the dominant situation reality? What is my inner life reality? What kind of clothes do I wear? What kind of props do I use?
