18. For teaching blind persons the aids such as braille writer, braille slates and stylus for pupils, braille papers tape recorders, abacus for teaching mathematics are needed. For the deaf students ,teaching of sign language is important. Signs using fingers, hand etc. Is to be familiarised.Finger spelling and speech reading techniques too may be focused. Multi handicapped children have more than one disability. They need special treatment and care.
