2. Extension cord is a span of flexible electrical power cable with a plug on one end and

3. multiple sockets on the other end. The size of the cord depends upon the specifications of the

4. load or electrical gadgets to be used. The thicker the cord used, the higher the power capacity.

5. Directions for proper use of Extension cords:

6. 1. Completely extend the extension cord before using.

7. 2. Insert fully the plug to the convenience outlet.

8. 3. Use within the electrical rating mark on the extension cord set.

9. 4. Do not plug more than the total of 1,250 watts for #18 flat cord and

10. 1,625 watts for #16 flat cord.

11. 5. Cover unused outlets.

12. 6. Never place extension under the rugs.

13. 7. Do not use damage extension cords. Inspect periodically.

14. 8. Unplug when not in use.

15. 9. Unplug by holding and pulling the male plug not the wire.

16. 10. Keep away from children.

17. 11. Do not store in wet or damp places.

18. 12. Use indoor only.

20. appliance found in the instruction manual or on the package. Add the watts for each of
