FARADAY’S LAW EXPERIMENT REPORT

PURPOSE:
We made this experiment to demonstrate that a steady magnetic field produces a
current, called induced current.

MATERIALS:
-A socket;
-A generator;
-2 solenoids;
-A “u-shaped” magnet;
-A voltmeter;
-4 wires;
PROCEDURE:
First of all we need of a potential difference generator, we plug it into a socket, after
that we take two solenoids, a voltmeter and 4 wires. We connect the first solenoid
to the generator and the second to the voltmeter. At the end we put the u-shaped
magnet into the two solenoids. To start the observation we turn on the generator to
create a difference potential and we immediately turn off it.

OBSERVATIONS:
When we turn on or turn off the generator we can observe that the voltmeter
shows a flowing of current for some milliseconds.

CONCLUSIONS:
In conclusion we understood that the current was generated by a changing flux of a
magnetic field.
