Overview
We first hear of Great Britain in 55 B.C. when Julius Caesar crossed the English Channel and found the land occupied by a peace-loving , agricultural people called CELTS. Where is Great Britain? Great Britain is an island lying off the western coast of Europe, comprising the main territory of the United Kingdom. What is Great Britain? Great Britain is the official name given to the two kingdoms of England and Scotland, and the principality of Wales.
Great Britain is made up of: England - The capital is London. Scotland - The capital is Edinburgh . Wales - The capital is Cardiff.
Great Britain Great Britain is an island that consists of three somewhat autonomous regions that include England, Scotland, and Wales. It is located east of Ireland and northwest of France in the Atlantic Ocean. The United Kingdom The United Kingdom is a country that includes England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Its official name is “United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. ” England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland are often mistaken as names of countries, but they are only a part of the United Kingdom.
In 449, waves on invasion from the European continent took place in the land. the invaders belonged to various Germanic tribes inhabiting the shores of the Danish peninsula. These Teutonic tribes were the Jutes, Angles and Saxons. People were divided into social classes. Earls - ruling class ng class of warlords, the earl is deeply loyal to his king , who was a brave and revered leader in times of war and in times of peace a wise judge and generous giver of material rewards.
Freemen - allowed to own a land and engage in commerce. churl - who traced his ancestry to some war captive of the tribe. the churl tilled the soil, hunted and fished for his earl to whom his services were bound by a special favor. he could attain the status of a freeman but the freeman were few. thralls - servants, prisoners Early in the history of England ,another individual came into view- one who was to affect the life of England. This indiviidual was the priest, who was the bringer of this world of knowledge and culture. Christianity was established in Britain before.D. 400.

Women are considered valuable only for domestic duties and marriageable commodities. Anglo Saxon Literature began not with books but with incantations, their purpose was to pass a tribal history and values to an audience that could not read.

But before he succeeded he braved so many challenges like monsters and dragons. In your life, whom do you consider as your heroes? How about dragons? What events in the life of your hero had the greatest influence in your life? What traits does your hero possess that contribute to his/her success? What was the greatest accomplishment of your hero? All the answers to the given question will be expressed in a form of a Formal Theme writing composition.

Guidelines in Formal Theme writing 1.) Write in cursive 2.) Use black ballpen. 3.) Write legibly. 4.) Margin should be 1 inch at the left, half inch at the right. 5.) Formulate your aim. 6.) Don't forget the title and the date. 7.) Have a good introduction, body and conclusion.
