COMMUNITY PERCEPTION ON COVID-19 PROTOCOLS IN PIKIT, NORTH COTABATO
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO 2 INTRODUCTION Coro na virus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a contagious disease caused by the coronavirus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS-CoV-2). The first case was discovered in Wuhan, China, in December 2019. Since then, the sickness has spread worldwide, resulting in a pandemic. COVID-19 is spread through the air when droplets and minute airborne particles harboring the virus are inhaled. Breathing them in is most dangerous when individuals are close together, but they can also be inhaled over greater distances, especially indoors . The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a significant loss of human life around the world, and it poses an unprecedented threat to public health, food systems, and the workplace.

To determine the relationship between socio-demographic characteristics and the perceive COVID-19 protocols. 4. To make a community-based COVID-19 protocol policy.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO 4 Theoretical Framework In line with President Rodrigo R. Duterte's approval of the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases' recommendation to place the Greater Metro Manila Area under Enhanced Community Quarantine on March 27, 2021, and in accordance with the amendments to the Omnibus Guidelines for the Implementation of Community Quarantine in the Philippines pursuant to IATF Resolution No. 106-B, S. 2 of the Omnibus Guidelines for the Implementation of Community Department Order No. 39, Series of 2020, on safety, is therefore revised. The State shall preserve and promote the people's right to health and create health consciousness among them, according to Section 15 Article II of the 1987 Constitution. The President issued Proclamation No. 1218 (s.2021) on September 10, 2020, Extending the State of Calamity across the Philippines until September 10, 2021. To reduce the development of COVID-19 cases, stop the spread of variations, buy time for the health system to adapt, and save more lives, proactive measures and restrictions must be implemented indefinitely.

UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO 6 METHODOLOGY Research Design The researcher will use a descriptive correlation to determine the community perception on COVID-19 quarantine protocols in Pikit , North Cotabato . Locale of the Study This study is conducted in Pikit , North Cotabato . Time and Date of the Study This study was conducted during alert level 2 . Respondents of the Study This study will be focusing on the community in Pikit , North Cotabato , and there will be 60 respondents.
METHODOLOGY Sampling Procedure The researcher will use quota sampling in choosing the respondents. 15- Teachers 15- Drivers 15- Vendors 15- Students Research Instruments The researcher instrument that the researcher will going to use is ad ap ted from the “section 3 of the Omnibus Guidelines” 2021. There are two parts in the questionnaire. First, are the socio-demographic characteristics of the respondents. Second, is the awareness of community in term of health, work and travel protocols . Out of 60 respondents, results showed that the respondents of the study were mostly in the mid-age 16-27 forty-three point three percent (43.3%). And some were aged 28-39 thirty-five point zero percent (35.0%). 15.0% of them belonged to 40-51 years old, while only few were aged 52-62 (6.7).

Results show that the majority of the respondents were dominated by females at fifty-five point zero percent (55.0%) and male at forty-five point zero percent (45.0%).

Results show that seventy-eight point thirty-three percent (78.33%) were Roman Catholic. Some are Islam with eleven point sixty-seven percent (11.67%), few are the Protestant with three point thirty-three percent (3.33%), Alliance with five point zero percent (5.0%) and INC with 1.67%.

Work protocols with an overall mean of (3.45) and a verbal description of "aware". In questions 1, weighted (3.78) indicates that the community were very aware in no mask, no entry protocol. In question 2, weighted (3.62) indicates that the community were very aware in 1 meter a part rule. In question 3, weighted (3.22) indicates that the community were aware that 50% of employees are required to work from home. In question 4, weighted (2.93) indicates that the community were aware that private shuttles should be provided and PCR confirmatory should be performed on employees. In question 5, weighted (3.72) indicates that the community were frequently sanitation and hand hand washing are encouraged.

In question 1, weighted (3.12) indicates that the community was aware of quarantine passes are no longer required. In question 2, weighted (3.08) indicates that the community were aware on retain the 8 p.m to 4 p.m curfew. In question 3, weighted ( 3.15) indicates that the community were aware of the decision to imposed a liquor ban is up to each local government. In question 4, weighted (2.92) indicates that the community were aware on indoor and outdoor activities will remain prohibited. In question 5, weighted (2.78) indicates that the community were aware on inter-island is not allowed.

In question 3, weighted (2.97) indicates that the community were aware on any person 18 years old, and those over 65 years old shall be required to remain in their residences. In question 4, weighted (2.95) indicates that the community were aware on face-to-face or in-person classes shall be suspended. In question 5, weighted (3.10) indicates that the community were aware on religious gathering shall be allowed up to 10% of the venue capacity.

Therefor , there is no significant relationship between the respondents socio-demographic characteristics and their perceived covid-19 health protocols. The result shows that the community were aware on COVID-19 protocols based on their age, religion, sex, nature of work, and health status.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO 20 1. Majority of the respondents ere mostly in the mid-age 16-27 forty-three point three percent (43.3%). Females at fifty-five point zero percent (55.0%), seventy-eight point thirty-three percent (78.33%) were Roman Catholic. ninety-eight point thirty-three percent (98.33%) of the respondents had no comorbidity. 2. The community perception on work protocols were weighted with overall mean of (3.45) which shows that community were aware on COVID-19 protocols in terms of work protocols. 3. The community perception on travel protocols were weighted with overall mean of (3.01) indicates that the community were aware on COVID-19 protocols in terms of travel protocols. 4. Community perception on health protocols were weighted with overall mean of (3.27) indicates that the community were aware on COVID-19 protocols in terms of health protocols. SUMMARY
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO 21 Conclusions Based on the results and summary of the findings, the researcher conclude that: 1.That majority of the respondents were mostly in the mid-age of 16-27 years old, Females, Roman Catholic, had no comorbidity. 2.That the community perception on COVID-19 protocols were describe as aware. That the age, sex, work, religion, and health status of the 3.respondents is no significant relationship on the community perception on COVID-19 protocols. 4.That the community were aware on COVID-19 protocols in terms of work, travel, and health protocols.
UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MINDANAO 22 Recommendations Based on the conclusions made and based on the problem in introduction, following recommendations are raised and given, 1.The community should maintain the awareness on COVID-19 protocols, even the effect of COVID-19 cases were lessen. 2.Every members of the community should impose the COVID-19 protocols. 3.The COVID-19 protocols should be inform to everyone during pandemic. 4.The students should give a copy of the study to the Pikit Municipality.
