Objectives: Students will be able to define and elaborate gender roles Formulate a plan on how to resolve discrimination caused by the changes in the gender roles of men and women in the society. Actively participate in sharing ideas about the concepts of gender roles in the Philippine.

What is GENDER ROLES?

Gender roles are societal expectations and norms regarding the behaviors, roles, and responsibilities deemed appropriate for individuals based on their perceived gender.

How do we learn roles according to our gender? Gender roles are often rooted in one's own culture and beliefs. The concept of gender roles refers to the societal expectations, behaviors, and responsibilities associated with being male or female.

Instruction: Divide the class into four groups by counting off. Each group will be given a specific topic about gender roles in the Philippines during different periods. Each group will work together to create a concept that represents gender roles during their assigned period. Similar to the game "Paint Me a Picture," each group will create a scenario using their own actions, facial expressions, and props. They will remain still for ten seconds, and then they will start moving after the cue, to portray the concept they have developed, which can be expressed through acting, rapping, poetry, or creating an advertisement. Each group will have only one minute to present their concept. They will be given three minutes to prepare. Task 2: Bring My Picture to Life!
