3. CATERGORIES OF RESETTLEMENT Voluntary Resettlement: -Resettled households willingly choose or give their consent to move. Involuntary Resettlement: -Resettlement occurs without the informed consent of displaced persons, or if consent is given, individuals may lack the power to refuse resettlement. 4. DISPLACEMENT Displacement can be either physical or economic. Physical displacement:- Involves the actual relocation of people, leading to a loss of shelter, productive assets, or access to assets like land, water, and forests. TYPES OF RESETTLEMENT ACTION PLAN Rural Displacement Action Plan : A drafted document specifying the procedures and actions to be taken to resettle and compensate affected communities after their displacement in rural areas.
