1. Self-portrait Who Am I? What are my interests? What do I want to include in my self-portrait that represents my values? How do pose, facial expression, setting, costume, and stylistic presentation create the meaning behind the work? There is a long-standing tradition of artists creating self-portraits across many cultures. In this PowerPoint presentation, I have provided examples of self-portraits made by artists from diverse backgrounds. In this task, I would like each student to choose one of these artists and create their own self-portrait ,  which references elements from the chosen artwork. Portraits are to be completed in one lesson. In the next lesson ,  we will present and reflect on all the self-portraits made by our class, providing an opportunity for self-reflection and a deeper understanding of our artistic choices. We will then create a class poster that represents our shared values. Have fun!
