The territory of India presents a large sample of biodiversity. It is one of the seventeen megadiverse countries in the world. It is home to 7.6 % of all mammals, 12.6 % of all birds, 6.2 % of all reptiles and 4.4 % of all amphibians. 33% of plant species are endemic in India
