7. MEANING OF FOREIGN TRADE Meaning : International trade,external trade or foreign trade means trade between countries,that means trade between one country and another country.

8. Features of foreign trade Foreign trade has certain special characterisatics or features. Those are, Foreign trade is carried on between two or more countries. In foreign trade,goods are moved from one country to another,generally through ships and aeroplanes . Foreign trade may be import trade,export trade or enterpot trade. Generally,lkicence is required for import trade and export trade as per the foreign trade policy of a country. In foreign trade,payment is made in fpreign currency. As payment in foreign trade is made in foreign currency,foreign exchange is required for foreign trade.
