FINGERPRINTS

-natural secretions of sweat from
theeccrineglandsthat are present in
epidermal ridges.

3 MAIN CATEGORIES
•Visible fingerprints
-easily to spot which are left by dirt,
grease, blood, etc.
•Impression fingerprints
-which are made indentation in soft
material like butter, putty, tar, etc.
•Latent fingerprint
-processing to make visible and suitable
for analysis.

Factors that affects the endurance of
fingerprints:
•Amount of fatty material in deposit
•Temperature
•Relative humidity
•Air Current
•Exposure to sun
