Electric Shock Prevention

WARNING:

© While power Is on or when the Inverter Is running, do not open the front cover.
Otherwise you may get an electric shock.

e Do not run the inverter withthe front cover removed. Otherwise, you may access
the exposed high-voltage terminals o tho charging part of he circuitry and get an
electo shock.

+ Even if power Is off, do not remove the front cover except or wiing or periode
Inspoction. You may access the chargedinvertorcrcutsandgetan electric shock.

e Before starting wiring or inspection, check to make sure that he operation panel
Indicator Is of, walt for atleast 10 minutes after the power supply has boon
‘itched of, and chock that here are no residual voltage using a tester or the Ik.
The capacitor Is charged with high volage for some time after power off and is
dangerous.

e This invertor must bo earthed. Earthing must conform to the requirements of
national and local safety regulations and elpctrical codes. (US, NEC section 250,
NEC 588 class 1 and other applicable standards)

Uso a neutalpola earthed (grounded) power supply for 400V class inverter in
complance with EN Standard.

© Any person who Is involved Inthe wiring or Inspection of this equipment should
be ly competent o do the work.

e Always instal tho inverter before wing. Otherwise, you may get an electric shock
or be injured.

e Ityourappliation require by installation standards a RCD (residual current device)
as up stream protection please select according to DIN VDE 0100-530 as following:
‘Single phase inverter type Aor B
Three phase Inverter ony type B

e Perform setting di andkey operations with dry hands topreventan electri shock.
Otherwise you may got an lect shock.

e Donotsubject the cablesto scratches, excessive tros, heavy loads or pinching.
Otherwise you may got an elec shock.

e Do not replace the cooling fan while power I on. ts dangerous to replace the
‘cooling lan will power Ison.

(© Do nottouch te printed cru board with wethands You may get an elect shook

© Yen measuring the main circuit capacitor capacity, the DC voltage is applied to
the motor fr 1 at powering o. Never touch the motor terminal, te. ght air
‘powering orto prevent an electric shock.

Fire Prevention

‘CAUTION:

© Mountthe inverter toIncombustible materia. nsalthe Inverter ona nonflammabie
wall without holes (so that nobody can touch the Inverter heatsink on tho rear sido,
‘te, Mounting Ito or near combustible material can cause a Ire

lie inverter has become faulty, switch off the inverter power. À continuous flow
(of arge current could cause a fre.

+ When using brake resistor, make up a sequence that wil urn of power when an
alarm signals output Otherwise, th bake resistor may excessively overeat due
{to damage ofthe brake transistor and such, causing a fe.

(© Do not connect a resistor direct tothe DO terminals +, ~ This could cause a tro
and destroy the inverter. The surtac temperature of braking resistors can far
Oxc00d 100°C for brit poriods. Mako sure that her fs adequate protection against
‘accidental contact and a Sato distance fs maintained to other units and systom
parts.

Injury Prevention

‘CAUTION:

© Apply only the voltage spociid in tho instruction manual to each terminal.
‘Otherwise, bust, damage, ote. may occur.

+ Ensure thatthe cables are connected tothe corect terminals. Otherwise, bust,
damage, ote. may occur.

© Always make sure that polarityiscorect to prevent damage, ee. Otherwise, burst,
‘damage, ete. may occur.

+ We power Is on or for some tine ater power-off, do not touch the invertor as it
1 hot and you may got burnt.

Transport und instalation

caunon:

(© Transport the product using the correct method that coresponds tothe weight.
Failure to observe this could lead to injuries.

(© Do not stack the inverter boxes higher than the number recommended.

(© Ensuro that installation postion and material can withstand tho weight of tho
Inverter. Install according to We information In the Instruction manual.

{© Donat instal or operate the Inverter ts damaged or has parts missing. This can
resul In breakdowns.

+ When carrying to Invrtr, do not hold by th ont cover or sting al; may
fall otra

© Do not stand or rest heavy objects on the product.
(Check the inverter mounting orientation is correct.

Provent other conductive bodies such as screws and metal fragments or other
Flammabio substance such as of from entering the Inverter,

‘CAUTION:

(© Before starting operation, contr and adjust ie parameters. A alu to do so
may cause some machines to make unexpected motions.

Operation

WARNING:

+ When you have chosen the retry function, stay away from the equipment ast wil
‘start suddenly aftr an alarm stop.

e Since pressing STOP/RESET key may not stop output depending on the function
“setting status, provid a crcul and switch separately to make an emergency stop
(power of, mechanical brake operation for emergency stop etc)

(© Mako sure that to start signal Is off bare resetting the Inverter alarm. A flluro
0 de s0 may restart the motor suddenly.

e The load used should bo a three-phase induction motor only. Connection of any
‘ther electrical equipment 1 he inverter output may damage the equipment.

© Do not modty the equipment.

e Donotpertorm parts removal which snot instructed inthis manual. Doing so may
Head to faut or damage ofthe invert

‘CAUTION:

(© The electron thermal relay function does not guarantee protection ofthe motor
ram overheating Is recommended to install both an external thermal and PTC
thermistor or overheat protection.

e Donotuse amagnetc contactor onthe Inverter Input or requentstarting/stopping
ofthe inverter. Othorwise, tho Île ofthe Inverter decreases.

© Use a nois er to reduce the effect of electromagnetic interference and follow
the accepted EMC procedures fr proper installation o frequency invertors. Olh-
rise nearby electronic equipment may bo afectod

+ Take appropriate measures regarding harmonies. Otherwise this can endanger
‘compensation systems or overiaad generator,

+ Uso a motor designed for inverter operation. (Tho stress for motor windings Is
bigger than inline power supply)

+ When parameter clear or al clear performed, set again the required parameters
before starting operations. Each parameter retums 0 the inital value.

e The invertor canbe easily set orhigh-speedoperation, Before changing ts setting,
{ul examine the performances ofthe motor and machine

(© The DC braking function ofthe frequency Inverter isnot designed to continuously
‚hola load. Uso an olectro mechanical holding brake onthe moter for this purpose.

e Berorerunning an inverter which had been stored for along period, always perform
Inspection and test operation.

© For prevention of damage due to static electrity, touch nearby metal belore
touching this produet to elíminato stati elecrety Iram your body.

Emergency stop

‘CAUTION:

e Provide a safety backup such as an emergency brake which wil prevent the
‘machine and equipment rom hazardous conditions ithe invertor rls.

e When the breaker on the Inverter primary id tips, check forthe wing fault (short
‘cult damage to Internal parte of to Inverter, et. Identity the cause ofthe rip.
then remove the cause and power on the breaker.

+ When tho protective function Is activated (Ie the frequency Inverter switches off
th an error message), ake the corresponding corrective action as described in
the Inverter manual, thon rset the Inverter, and resume operation.
