3. AVOIDACE + FANTASY = ESCAPISM Escapism is mental diversion from unpleasant or boring aspects of daily life, typically through activities involving imagination or entertainment. Escapism may be used to occupy one's self away from persistent feelings of depression or general sadness.

4. The World Health Organization had proposed and later included "gaming disorder" in the 11th revision of the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems released in June 2018, which was approved by the World Health Assembly in May 2019
