•InanotherwordsAcidifiersareinorganic

acid.
•Thesechemicalsincreasethelevelofgastric
acidinthestomachwheningested,thus
decreasingthestomachpH.
•Systemicacidifiersgivenviainjection
reducesthealkaliaccumulationinthebody
andusefulinreducingmetabolicalkalosis.

hydroxide.
