C redit hour A credit hour is a unit of measurement that indicates the amount of time a student needs to spend learning and being instructed to achieve the learning outcomes of a course.  The number of credit hours a course is worth is based on the amount of time a student is likely to spend on the class each week . In Pakistan, one credit hour for a theory course is equivalent to 50 minutes of teaching per week throughout the semester . For laboratory or practical work, one credit hour is equivalent to two hours of lab contact per week throughout the semester.
