The Left and Right Adventure One day, Karma LEFT her house early in the morning to go on an adventure. She wasn’t sure if she was heading in the RIGHT direction, but she turned RIGHT at the end of her street anyway. As she walked, she realized she had LEFT her map at home! “Oh no!” she said. “I should have turned LEFT back there instead of RIGHT .” She quickly turned around and went LEFT , then RIGHT , then LEFT again, hoping to find her way. Just when she thought she was RIGHT where she needed to be, she discovered she had LEFT her backpack behind! Karma ran back to the RIGHT place where she thought she had LEFT it. She looked LEFT , then RIGHT , but it was nowhere to be found. “I must have LEFT it in the park!” she exclaimed. She turned RIGHT and hurried to the park. There, on the LEFT side of a bench, she saw her backpack RIGHT where she had LEFT it! Feeling relieved, Karma sat down and smiled. “What a day! I hope I make the RIGHT choices next time and don’t forget things I’ve LEFT behind!” 😊 Energizer

What is Equity?

Refers to fairness and justice in the way individuals are treated equally, taking into the consideration of their different needs and historical disadvantages.

2 These women spent their time doing unpaid work, they are often paid less than men and are exposed to gender-based violence such as child marriage and sexual harassment. women and girls are denied because of their gender. But sometimes

2 So, what are the causes of gender inequality? 1. Lack of awareness among women about their rights and their ability to achieve equality.

2 2. The system of society in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it.

2 3. Illiteracy having little or no education.

2 4. Socio-cultural and religious influence

2 5. Discriminatory fosterage of children by parents.

Some Facts & Figures Women with full-time jobs still earn only about 77 percent of their male counterparts’ earnings. Women make up two-thirds of the 796 million illiterate people

1 in 3 women have experienced physical or sexual violence at some point in their life. Each minute 28 girls are married before they are ready.

We all can value the importance of girls and women because girls and women around the globe are working hard to improve their lives However, now it doesn’t have to be that way

2 Women should be provided equal opportunity in decision-making Their value should not be undervalued and marginalized .

Solutions Prevent violence against women and girls. Equal education opportunities for children. Instilling the notion of gender equality into the kids at a tender age. Equal treatment of children by parents regardless of their gender.
