General Introduction of High-speed Disperser
The high-speed disperser, one type of the mixers, can general a strong force due
to the high speed. It usually has a strong dispersing and emulsifying effect on
materials, so it’s also called the disperser. It can quickly and evenly disperse powder
into liquid, a very durable and widely used machine.


Components
High-speed disperser mainly consists of transmission system, lifting system,
electric control cabinet, dispersing disc, agitator, etc. In addition, according to
different materials and processes, scraper, temperature sensor, explosion-proof, and
vacuum system all can be customized.

The key component of high-speed disperser is dispersing disc, which is mainly
made of stainless steel. It is usually a toothed disc, with single-layer disc, double-layer
disc, etc. The teeth are alternately bent on the edge of the impeller. Each tooth vertical
edge surface can produce strong impact. The outer edge surface of the tooth pushes
the material to flow outward, forming circulation and shear force. Dispersing discs of
different specifications and forms can be replaced according to process characteristics.

The motor drives transmission belt, to rotate the agitator. Explosion-proof motor
can be customized for solvent-based material.


Principle
Through the high-speed rotation of the disperser, the material generates a strong
vortex and spiraling down to the bottom. A turbulent flow zone is formed at the edge
of the dispersing disc, and strong shear impact and friction are generated between the

materials. The slurry is fully circulated and turned, achieving the functions of rapid
dispersion, dissolution, uniform mixing, and emulsification.
Different lifting forms are used to drive the entire transmission system and
working group, such as hydraulic lifting, mechanical lifting, pneumatic lifting etc.
Motor speed regulation methods such as electromagnetic speed regulation and
variable frequency speed regulation can be used. Different speeds can be selected
according to different process stages.
High-speed dispersers are usually equipped with control systems to help
operators accurately control the material dispersion process. Such as PLC program
and touching screen, to realize data collection, recording and analysis.


Application
The high-speed disperser is widely used in chemical, pharmaceutical, food,
coating, pigment and other industries. They are used in the process of mixing,
dispersing and dissolving various materials. It is characterized by easy operation, high
efficiency, uniform dispersion, strong controllability and wide application range.

Material
Different materials can select different material of machine, such as carbon steel,
SS304, SS316L etc. Surface treatment technologies such as Teflon spraying,
polyurethane spraying, silicon carbide spraying, and hard chrome plating are also
widely used.


Machinery Type
The high-speed disperser has serval types, such as hydraulic lifting type, vacuum
type, rotary type, kettle lifting type, wall scraping type, wall-mounted type, etc. The
machine can customize removable type, fixed type, to suit different production needs.
The hydraulic lifting structure uses a hydraulic cylinder as the actuator, which
ensures stable lifting. With a linear speed of more than 20m/s, the powder can be
quickly and evenly dispersed into the liquid; due to the extremely high shear force,
the material is evenly dispersed and forms a good suspension effect.

As a mid-batch type machine, the pneumatic lifting disperser is widely used in
factories, scientific research institutions, colleges and universities, etc. The machine
uses a cylinder as a lifting actuator and a pneumatic control valve to control the rise,
stop and descent of the disperser. It has low air consumption, simple operation, and is
environmentally friendly and pollution-free.
The scraper type disperser (vacuum type) is designed for defoaming while
mixing. The vacuum cover can be totally closed with the help of a closed lid and
generate a high vacuum degree space, which contributes directly to avoid the solution
volatilization. PTFE scraper can scrape the material out of the wall, without residue.

When choosing a high-speed disperser, a variety of factors need to be
considered, including the properties of the material, such as viscosity, density, color
and stability; the processing capacity of the material; the choice of mixing method,
machine size and installation conditions, and appropriate control systems, etc. To
