THE DA VINCI CODE The Da Vinci Code is a 2006 American mystery thriller film. It's based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Dan Brown. The film is about a symbologist, Robert Langdon, and a cryptologist, Sophie Neveu. They become involved in a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei after a murder in the Louvre Museum in Paris. The battle is over the possibility that Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene had a child together.
