What Is GM Diet?
•I have worked and come out with a vegetarian version
this diet plan.As it was invented for the prosperity of the
employees of the General Motors Corporation, it is
famed as the ‘GM diet plan’ or General Motor Diet Plan.
GM Diet Plan
•For all 7 days, take 1 glass warm water and add honey (2
tbsp.) and lemon juice (3 tbsp.) to it. Shake well and
drink early in the morning before breakfast.This will
boost your metabolism and also detoxify your internal
organs.
Day 1: The Fruit Day
Breakfast – 8.00 to 9 AM
•You can consume 2 Apples.Drink 2 glass of water
after 30 minutes of eating apple.Don’t drink
water immediately as it may cause bloating.
Morning Snack – 10.00 to 11
AM
•Diced 1 bowl of Papaya.You can have kiwi
if you like.Drink 2 glass of water after
having this.
Lunch – 12 to 1.00 PM
•Eat a big portion of watermelon.After eating take
rest for a while and drink 2 glass of water.
Mid-noon Snack – 4 to 5.00
PM
•You can have a bowl of Papaya.If you want,you can drink
Orange Juice.Don’t add sugar to the juice.Avoid drinking
the packaged one sold in the market.After having
this,drink 2 glass of water.
Evening Snack – 6 to 7.00 PM
•If you are bored of drinking water you can drink Coconut
Water.It has minerals and nutrients which will
rejuvenate your internal organs.
Dinner – 9 to 10 PM
•Eat bowl of Watermelon.Before going to
bed drink 2 glass of water.

Points To Remember:
•1. Don’t drink water immediately after eating
fruits.At least 30 minutes gap should be there as it
may cause acidity.
•2.You can replace water with watermelon juice,
Orange juice or Coconut water.
•3.If you are feeling hungry even after following the
mentioned schedule don’t starve yourself.You
can have apples or watermelons.
•4.Avoid working out or doing any hard work on
this day.

Day 2: Veggie Day
Vegetable Salad Recipe:
•Ingredients:
Tomatoes- 3 (sliced into rings)
Spring onions- 5 (chopped)
Salad leaves- 10
Cabbage- 1 (either chopped or
shredded)
Radish- 1 (optional)
Carrot- 3 (peeled and sliced
into strips)
Lemon juice- 3 tbsp
Cucumber- 3 (large)
Tomato- 3
Pea- ½ cup
Corn- ½ cup
Celery & Broccoli (Optional)
Breakfast – 8 to 9 AM
•Boil 2 Potato.
Finely Chopped Small Onion.
Mix the above ingredient and eat it.
Morning Snack – 10:00 to 11
AM
you can have chopped 1 bowl of Red Lettuce or
Cabbage.
After having this drink 2 glass of
water.
Lunch – 12:00 to 1 PM
•Prepare a salad by mixing 1 Cucumber,1 Tomato and a
small portion of Beet.You can add mint or coriander
leaves for garnishing.Add a pinch of Salt, Cumin for
flavoring.If need you can add lime juice.
Drink 2 glass of water having this.
Mid-noon Snack – 4 to 5 PM
•You can have 1 cup Cherry or 3 Tomatoes
during this time.
Dinner – 7 to 8 PM
•Boil Cauliflower,Asparagus and Broccoli
with salt and spices as per your taste.
Precaution Need To Be Taken:
1.You should avoid fruit completely during
the second day.
2.Use salt as less as possible.
3.Don’t add sugar,oil to your diet.
4.You can add Cabbage soup or salad
whenever you feeling hungry.

Day 3: Fruit+Vegetables
•Day 3 is nothing but Day1+Day2. You can
eat the above-declared fruits and veggies.
•Make sure you avoid potatoes on this day
as you are procuring required
carbohydrates from the fruits. Here’s one
recipe you may try:
Fruit Salad Recipe– Mix the
ingredients.
Ingredients:
Breakfast – 8 to 9 AM
•On the third day you can start your day
with a 1 Apple or 1 portion of watermelon.
•Then you can drink 2 glass of water.
Morning Snack – 10 to 11 AM
•You can eat one full bowl of mixed
Cantaloupe and Papaya.Drink at least 2
glasses of water.
Lunch – 12 to 1 PM
•In the lunch,you can eat the salad
prepared by mixing tomato,cucumber &
lettuce.Drink 2 glass of water after eating
this.
Afternoon Snack – 4 to 5 PM
•Eat juice of Orange or Mango.You can
have pineapple too.Don’t forget to drink 2
glass of water after 30 minutes of having
this.
Dinner – 7 to 8 PM
•Boil vegetables like Broccoli, Cabbage and raw
papaya.Add black pepper to it.After having this
drink 2 glass of water.
Day 4: Banana Day
•You can consume up to 6 bananas and 4
glasses of milk.
Low-Calorie Soup:
•Ingredients:
Onion- sliced into rings
Tomatoes- 3
Water- 750 ml
Green Chilies- 2
Cabbage- 1
Carrot – 1
Lettuce leaf -2
Mix the ingredient and boil the mix
for 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper.
Breakfast – 8 to 9:00
Morning Snack – 10 to 11 AM
Lunch – 12 to 1:00 PM
•Prepare a large bowl of vegetable soup.
•Add black peper and ginger to enhance its
flavor.
Afternoon Snack – 4:30 to 5
PM
•Banana shake.
Dinner – 7:30 to 8 PM
• vegetable soup + 1 banana
Day 5: Protein Day
•Day 5 is protein day. You can consume up to 6 tomatoes.
The original GM diet includes consumption of 10 oz. Of
chicken/beef.
•To achieve this in a vegetarian diet, you can consume
250 GMs Paneer + 150 ml curd+ 20 GMs soya chunks. If
you love eggs, replace paneer with egg white.
Day 6:
•Day 6 is quite similar to Day5. You can
consume Paneer,sprouts and other
veggies,but no tomatoes on this day.The
soup and water can help you through the
day. You can have green tea but avoid
coffee or tea.
Day 7:
•Well, you can take fruit juice today, 1 bowl of brown rice
or ½ Chapatti(Indian Bread), whatever you like plus
vegetables.
Breakfast – 8.00 to 9AM
•In the morning you can have a bowl of oats or brown
rice.You can add Cumin, Lemon to enhance its
taste.Don’t use sugar.
Morning Snack – 10.30 to
11AM
Lunch – 12.00 – 1PM
•Eat 1 bowl of brown rice with cooked
vegetables.Don’t add oil while cooking.Use less
salt as possible.You can use spices such as
Cumin,Balck Peppper while preparing these
items.
