■GopiTalavisalakeintheGopipuralocalityinthecityofSuratinGujarat
stateofIndia.
■ItwasbuiltbyMalikGopi,whowasanaffluentmerchantandgovernorof
SuratduringtheMughalEmpire.
■Itwastheprimesourceofwaterstorage&stormwatermanagementpoint
inancienttime.
■In2012,thelakewasrenovatedbySuratMunicipalCorporationandthe
areasurroundingitwasredevelopedasarecreationalfacility.
