B. MORIONES MASKS In Marinduque, the Moriones masks showcased during the Moriones festival attract people from different places. The masks are made of wood, on which an imagined face of a Roman or Syrian soldier is carved. These masks bring life to the festival, which depicts the story of Longinus, a Roman soldier converted to Christianity.
C. MANUNGGUL JAR Was discovered in the Tabon caves of Palawan. was an ancient burial jar that dated back to the Neolithic period. made of clay, with two seated figures on a boat at the top cover. The wave-like pattern around the upper portion up to its cover represents the body of water where the boat is travelling.
The front figure, which has its arms crossed above its chest, symbolizes the deceased person. The second figure holding a steering paddle signifies the boatman that takes the soul of the dead to the afterlife.
D. HANUNU0-MANGYAN WRITING SCRIPT Is composed of forty-eight (48) symbols, each representing a certain syllable. Commonly used to write love songs and poems called ambahan . The National Museum has declared the Hanunuo -Mangyan writing script as one of the National Cultural Treasures of the country.
SCULPTURE some examples of these sculptures are the mammanuk (rooster), kiruman (turtle), kararaga (native bird), dugyan (small round animal, lizards and wild pigs. help attract the deities and spirit-relatives in the pagdiwata rituals.
