WHAT IS WRITING IN YOUR OWN WORDS?

Writing is the act of putting words down on paper or typing them on a screen to express thoughts, ideas, stories, or information.

Writing is a way of communicating with others by using written language.

WHY DO WE NEED TO STUDY WRITING?

Good writing is considered a necessary skill one must learn to develop language and communication.

It is important because it is used extensively in school and in work.

If students do not know how to express themselves in writing, they won’t be able to communicate well .

Literary writing -uses images and descriptions. -it is subjective and less formal. -It uses words that appeal to emotions -figurative or metaphorical.
