Gram panchayat

Gram Panchayat is the local government of a village.
A gram Panchayat consist of five members headed by the Sarpanch.
The members of a gram Panchayat hold meetings to solve the problems of villagers.
Proper maintenance of the village is the responsibility of its Panchayat.
It is formed by the villager and its member is elected in the gram Panchayat elections
These election held every year anybody who is 18 years of age and can caste a vote in the elections.
The gram Panchayat is elected for five years

3. On a Way from the railway station to her grandparents house she finds a group of five elderly people sitting under the Banyan tree and they are listening to some man standing in front of them. She is curious to know what is happening

4. Her father tells her the elderly men are members of the Gram P anchayat and are solving the problems of the villagers
