3. We are going to talk about states of water first . Water can have three different states . It can be solid , liquid and gas .

5. If water goes below 0 °C, it freezes . If water freezes , it turns into ice .

6. but... If you heat ice , it becomes liquid again . Ice becomes water if it goes above 0 °C.

7. If you heat water to 100 °C, it evaporates . Is it possible to change these facts? No , we can not change them. They are all facts that are always true.

13. Be careful ! The order of two clauses does not change the meaning. But do not start with a PRONOUN. Ice becomes water if it goes above 0 °C. If ice goes above 0°C , it becomes water

14. TYPE O USE We use “ Type 0” to talk about general truths and scientific facts and t o tell about things that are always true and never change . If you heat ice , it becomes liquid again .
