Guide Questions

1. What is atmosphere? 2. What are the three radiations that bombarded the earth through light and heat energy? 3. what present in the Earth's atmosphere that blocks the UV rays?

4. What do you call the exchange of incoming and outgoing radiation that warms the Earth? 5. What is the result of the existence of greenhouse effect?

LET'S Q AND A

Outer space is cold. Why do we stay warm on Earth?

2. But, what is it about Earth that allow us to survive here and not any other planets?

3. The atmosphere on earth is special. It allow us to breath and keep us warm. What is the atmosphere made of?

4. It's getting hotter on Earth every days, are you aware of that? Why is it so? 4.

ROLE PLAY

The teacher will choose 15 students as heat 6 students for Greenhouse gases 1 student for Sun 1 student as Earth

The sun produces heat that reaches the Earth's surface.

2. This demonstrate the heat travelling from the Sun to the Earth. Some heat escapes back into space while gases in the atmosphere trap some of the heat

3. The "Greenhouse gases" allow the Earth to stay warm and allows it to flourish.

4. The greenhouse effect is a beneficial , natural process and without it the Earth would be too cold to sustain life.

5 . What will happen if more greenhouse gases were added to the atmosphere?

6. Since , there are many greenhouse gases, more heat will be trapped on Earth. And this is how global warming happens.

Based from what you have acted, how do you understand greenhouse effect? Is greenhouse effect a good thing? In which part of the activity did we portray global warming?

HOW GREENHOUSE EFFECT AND GLOBAL WARMING OCCURS?

It blocks the escaping heat and hence it enters the Earth Greenhouse Effect

It is caused by atmospheric accumulation of gases (methane and carbon dioxide, Nitrous oxide, CFC, other gases) emitted by the surface of earth. Greenhouse Effect

The greenhouse gas in Earth's atmosphere are water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), methane CH4, nitrous oxide (N2O) and ozone (O3)

The earth gets overheated by greenhouse gases and fossil fuels. Global Warming

It is caused by an increased concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere majorly contributed by human activities such as deforestation, burning of fossil fuels , etc. Global Warming

FACT OR BLUFF Write “Fact” if the statement is true and “Bluff” if not correct.

Greenhouse uses the sun to create a warm environment. Greenhouse gases prevent heat from escaping the earth thus making the earth’s temperature lower.

3. The greenhouse gases are carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), water vapor (H2O), nitrous oxide(N2O) and ozone(O3).

4 . If there is too much carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, there would be an increase in global temperature. 5. Carbon dioxide is the greatest greenhouse gas emissions.
