1. Greenland: The land of Ice and Snow Vegetation: Due to the extreme cold, only mosses, lichens, grasses and bushes grow here. There is no forest.

2. Clothes: Clothes are made from skin of seal, walrus and reindeer. Waterproof shoes are made of seal skin, sew with reindeer thread. Parka: Hoods lines with fur are worn by men, women and children are called Parka

3. Houses Eskimos call their houses igloos. Igloos can be made of ice, wood, stone or animal skin. In winter, they use thick blocks of ice to make igloos. In summer: They live in skin tents called tou gips . tou gips

4. Modern Times in Greenland Eskimos today use motorized sledges called skidoos for transport. Motor-boats for fishing. Good roads and fine network of communication have built. School, collage, hospital and some towns have air links with Denmark and North America.
