Project Management

- Project management uses system
analysis as a problem-solving approach.
- It requires defining the scope of the
project, dividing it into its component
parts.
- Identifying and evaluating its problems,
opportunities, constraints and needs.
AMARILA

- They are influenced by two strong
factors, the internal and external
environment.
- It has three basic components such
processes, people and tools, all
integrated and influenced by the internal
environment (the organization) and an
external environment (the world), this is
the project ecosystem.
AMARILA

INITIATION
This phase is where an idea or a
proposal is authorized and funded as a
project.
PLANNING
This phase includes two distinct
components; the development of plans
that are required as part of the proposal
– core planning, and the plans to manage
the implementation of the project –
facilitating planning.

IMPLEMENTATION
Includes taking all necessary actions to
ensure the activities in the project plan
are completed and the outputs of the plan
are produced.
MONITORING
About measuring the progress of a
project against its objectives, looking at
deviations from the plan and taking
corrective steps to put the project back
on track.

ADAPTING
This phase refers to the process by which
the project manager adapts its project
management methods and determines
what works best for the project.
CLOSING
The closing phase of the project is when
the project has achieved the planned
objectives and all deliverables have been
produced.

- It is the first step in the project
management process.
- It involves the process of recognizing
and defining a potential project or
opportunity that aligns with an
organisation's goals and objectives.
- The purpose is to determine whether
a project is worth pursuing and whether
it can be realistically completed within
the constraints of time, budget, and
resources.
CAYUNA

INITIATION
The purpose of the initiation phase is to
analyse the statement of requirements
and to provide an initial description of the
project objectives.
FEASIBILITY
The purpose of the Feasibility Phase is to
develop the project requirements and
identify a range of solutions that meet
those requirements.

ANALYSIS
The purpose of the Analysis Phase is to
identify and substantiate the optimum
solution that will satisfy the project
requirements and constraints and to
establish the project budget, schedule,
controls, and evaluation criteria that will
be put forward for preliminary project
approval.

IDENTIFICATION CLOSE OUT
The purpose of the identification close
out phase is to ensure that an appropriate
level of assessment, reporting, evaluation,
handover, and administrative closure has
taken place that will provide enough
directional detail to seamlessly proceed
to the Delivery Stage.

-Stakeholder analysis is a valuable tool
in the context of policy analysis in
social work.
-It helps social workers and policy
analysts understand the interests,
perspectives, and influence of various
stakeholders who are involved in or
affected by social policies and programs.
-Here's how stakeholder analysis can be
used as a tool for policy analysis in the
field of social work.
ROBLE

IDENTIFICATION OF STAKEHOLDERS
Identify and list all relevant stakeholders
in the context of the social policy or
program.
CATEGORIZATION STAKEHOLDERS
Categorize stakeholders based on their
level of interest in and influence over the
social policy or program.

UNDERSTANDING STAKEHOLDER
PERSPECTIVES
Utilize methods such as surveys,
interviews, focus groups, or consultations
to gain a deep understanding of the
perspectives, needs, and concerns of
each stakeholder group related to the
social policy
CONTINUOUS ENGAGEMENT
Stakeholder analysis is an ongoing and
iterative process

IDENTIFICATION OF STAKEHOLDERS
Identify and list all relevant stakeholders
in the context of the social policy or
program.
CATEGORIZATION STAKEHOLDERS
Categorize stakeholders based on their
level of interest in and influence over the
social policy or program.

IDENTIFY POTENTIAL CONFLICTS AND
SYNERGIES
Analyze stakeholder profiles to identify
areas of potential conflict and
disagreement among stakeholder groups.
POLICY IMPACT ASSESSMENT
Assess how the social policy or program
may impact each stakeholder group.
BARCENAS

POLICY DEVELOPMENT AND
IMPLEMENTATION
Use insights from stakeholder analysis to
shape the development and
implementation of the social policy.
EQUITY AND SOCIAL JUSTICE
One of the core objectives of stakeholder
analysis in a social work context is to
promote equity and social justice.

-Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) is an
interactive data collection process
conducted at a community level or with a
specific community group of interest.
-PRA is applied at the design, early
implementation and evaluation phases of
a project cycle or used for environmental
and socio- economic research.

PARTICPATORY MAPPING
It is a technique that requires the
participation of residents on a project
site.
It can be used to help located natural
resources, routes, service delivery points,
regional markets, trouble spots, etc., on a
map of the area or to use residents'
feedback to drive the development of a
map that includes such information.

FOCUS-GROUP DISCUSSION
Is a good way to gather together people
from similar backgrounds or experiences
to discuss a specific topic of interest.
The group of participants is guided by a
moderator (or group facilitator) who
introduces topics for discussion and helps
the group to participate in a lively and
natural discussion amongst themselves.
