GROUP 2 EAPP SAAC METHOD

SAAC Method SAAC Method. This method is particularly helpful in summarizing any kind of text. SAAC is an acronym for "State, Assign, Action, Complete." Each word in the acronym refers to a specific element that should be included in the summary.

S.A.A.C Method State (the name of the article, book, or story) Assign (the name of the author) Action (what the author is doing (example: tells, explains) Complete (complete the sentence or summary with keywords and important details) "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" Aesop (a Greek storyteller) tells what happens when a shepherd boy repeatedly lies to the villagers about seeing a wolf

Activity!! Directions: Summarize the given short story below using the SAAC Method. "The Tortoise and the Hare" Once upon a time, there was a hare who was very proud of his speed. He boasted to all the animals in the forest about how fast he could run and challenged anyone to race against him. The tortoise, known for his slow and steady nature, accepted the challenge, much to the amusement of the other animals. The race began, and the hare quickly darted ahead, leaving the tortoise far behind. Confident in his speed, the hare decided to take a nap under a tree, believing he could easily catch up later. Meanwhile, the tortoise continued plodding along at his steady pace, never wavering in his determination to reach the finish line. Despite being slow, he kept moving forward, one step at a time. When the hare woke up from his nap, he was shocked to see the tortoise nearing the finish line. He sprinted as fast as he could, but it was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first, winning the race.
