Exemptions & Alternative Means of Compliance The Director may exempt an applicant from any requirement prescribed in the regulations, after having regard to — ( a ) the reasons for the required exemption; ( b ) any serious or imminent risk to air safety and security; (c) the existence of an equivalent level of safety; ( d ) any imminent danger to persons or property if the exemption is granted; and ( e ) any information at his or her disposal. 180 Days The Director may, on good cause shown, approve an alternative means of compliance if the Director is satisfied that aviation safety will not be jeopardised .
