What is a diary? A diary is a personal record of events, feelings, and thoughs. It is written in the first person(I,me, my) and in chronological order(From strart to the end of the day
Characteristics Written in date order. Uses informal language. Expresses feelings and opinions. Often written in the past tense. Sometimes includes future plans or hopes.
Steps to write a Diary entry. Write the date and day(e.g., Wednesday, 08 October 2025) Start with a greeting(e.g., Dear Diary,) Describe your day or event(What happened, where, who was involved) Share your feelings and thoughts(How you felt and why) End with a reflection or plan(What you learned or hope for tomorrow) Sign off(optional-your name/initials)
