4. 1. INTRODUCTION Health is a multifaceted concept encompassing physical, mental, and social well-being. A health profile provides a comprehensive overview of an individuals or population health status, including key metrics and risk factors. By understanding these profiles, we can take informed actions to improve health outcomes, prevent disease, and promote a higher quality of life. .

5. 1.1 BACKGROUND Dore Bafano kebele,is found in sidama regional state in Hawassa Zuria wereda located 314 kilometers from Addis Abeba and 27 kilometers from Hawassa city The town's elevation ranges from 1680 to 2000 meters above sea level weather condition kola, average temperature 18 degree Celsius

6. 2.OBJECTIVE 2.1 General objective To improve the health of the community in Dore Bafano woreda by taking appropriate action and control measures.

To empower community members to take action and create positive change To improve Solid and liquid waste management practice in the community. To minimize the prevalence of major health related issues such as typhoid, malaria and pneumonia.

9. 3.METHODOLOGY 3.1 Study area The area is located 27km west of Hawassa city. borded by oromia in North and west, lake Hawassa at the east and Tula sub city of Hawassa Town administration and shebedino district of sidama region in south west and Boricha district of sidama region in south It has a total population of 192,000 with a land coverage of 27,000 hectares our study was conducted in Dore Bafano kebele, Hawassa zuria for 2 weeks starting from June 26,2024

12. 3.3 Strategy Our team consists 26 members including leader, Rapporteur and logistics Leader: oversees the entire operation Rapporteur: recording and reporting the finding Logistic: managing the resource Before going out for data gathering or collection to the field, our team prepared a comprehensive checklist to ensure that they collect all the necessary information about the public health status in each sector. This checklist included questions and parameters to assess various aspects of health profile, such as:  Demographics (age, gender, occupation, etc.) Health outcomes (diseases, disabilities, etc.) Healthcare access and utilization Environmental health factors (air quality, water quality, sanitation, etc.)

13. 3.4 Data Collection By Using the prepared checklist, the teams collected necessary data from each sector visited. This data collection process involved: Conducting surveys or interviews with community members, healthcare providers, or other stakeholders Observing health facilities, services, and practices Reviewing existing health records and data sources

14. 3.4 Data Analysis Once the data was collected, the teams analyzed the information to identify trends, patterns, and insights about the community health status in each sector. This analysis would help to: Identify areas of strength and weakness in the public health system Detect potential health risks and hazards Inform strategies for improving community health outcomes Develop targeted interventions and programs to address specific health needs
