KING HENRY V 'Tis not the balm , the sceptre and the ball, The sword , the mace , the crown imperial, The intertissued robe of gold and pearl , The farced title running 'fore the king, The throne he sits on, nor the tide of pomp That beats upon the high shore of this world, No, not all these, thrice-gorgeous ceremony, Can sleep so soundly as the wretched slave, Who with a body fill'd and vacant mind Gets him to rest, cramm'd with distressful bread; Never sees horrid night, the child of hell, But, like a lackey, from the rise to set Sweats in the eye of Phoebus, and all night Sleeps in Elysium . KINGSHIP- With greater power comes greater responsibilities The story also shows rebellion, uncertainty, arrogance and the horror of war. THEME
“RULE WITH THE HEART OF A SERVANT, SERVE WITH THE HEART OF A KING” Bill Johnson A leader must serve his subjects as if he is one of them. A leader must not be self- centered . His decisions must focus for the goodness of the many. He must implement his laws with honor and dignity, and must follow each law with humbleness and truth. REFLECTION and RECOMMENDATION
Unlike what are happening in our society nowadays. Corruptions are rampant, cruel use of power is observable, and poverty suffocates the poor and makes them even poorer. Henry V in the story is a model ruler. He believes that the king is but a man, as he is. (Act 4, Scene 1) Politicians or leaders who have power and responsibilities must also act with justice and love. JJRO-JOSH
