The setting of the novel was in the 19th century Philippines, specifically at Manila, during the latter years of the country as colony of Spain in Asia.

"Noli Me Tangere" It is a compelling and important film that sheds light on the struggles and sacrifices of the Filipino people during the Spanish colonial era, and it serves as a potent reminder of the ongoing fight for justice and freedom around the world.
