Load Survey

Requirement Estimation
Measure the size of rooms/halls/kitchens/bathrooms. Determine the required LUX (illumination level) according to ISI/IEC standards.
Example:
Drawing Room → `d_‒b__
Lux
Kitchen → a__‒d__ Lux Study Room → b__‒d__ Lux Bedroom → `__‒a__ Lux

Lighting Layout Design

Layout Preparation
Design the layout of rooms.
Lights Position
Decide on positions for ceiling, wall,
false ceiling.
Light Type
Choose from LED bulb, Tube light, Panel
light, Decorative light.
Switching Points
Determine whether one-way, two-way,
or dimmer switches are needed.

Wiring Design

Cable Management
Cable Size Calculation: Based on Load + Distance + Safety factor. Circuit Division: Lighting circuit max points or g__W.
MCB and RCCB/ELCB Selection: Ensure proper selection. Earthing Arrangement: Implement proper earthing.

Installation Process

Steps for Installation
Conduiting: Use
PVC/metal pipe and fix
junction boxes.
Cable Pulling: Perform
cable pulling and
termination.
Switchboard Wiring:
Wire switchboards and
fix light fixtures.
MCB Connection: Connect MCB in the
distribution board (DB).
Final Fixture Mounting: Mount lamps,
LED, and fan regulators.

Testing & Commissioning Method

Checking Procedures
Continuity Test: Check if every wire is
properly connected.
Insulation Resistance Test: Use a Megger
to check insulation (min. ` MΩ).
Polarity Test: Ensure switch is always
connected to phase.
Earth Continuity Test: Check earthing
resistance < ` ohm (domestic).
Load Test: When providing rated load,
ensure voltage drop < d%.
Illumination Measurement: Use a Lux
meter to check room brightness.

Parameters to be Checked

Parameters to be Checked
Electrical Parameters
· Voltage: aa_‒ac_ V
· Current: As per load
· Power Factor: >_. preferred for LED
· Earth Resistance: <`‒a Ω
· Cable Insulation Resistance: >` MΩ
Lighting Parameters
· Luminous Flux: Lumens
· Illumination: Lux level, room wise
· Uniformity Ratio: No dark spots
· Color Temperature: Warm White K, Cool White K
· CRI: Color Rendering Index >
